BOLIVIA, Potosí, cob 8 reales Royal (galano), 1745 q, very rare, NGC XF details / plugged. S-P50; KM-R31a; Cal-1518. 26.66 grams. Very thick, small-diameter flan with practically no legends but at least part of the 8 above the cross, very richly toned and deeply struck, doubled only on the upper part of the cross, with the inevitable plugged hole at bottom of cross, the dies an apparent hybrid of Lázaro 301 (R4) and 302 (RX), in any case quite rare as one of only four of this date known.
